This week, the Redskins face a must win game to keep their season alive. Luckily for them they face a Carolina defense that gives up 100 yard rushers in multiple games as well as a ton of passing yards. Last week against the Steelers, the Redskins offense was undone by a variety of drops. If the receivers can hang onto the ball and run the ball effectively, they will score a lot of points. I think the Redskins will bounce back offensively and have a break out game.
On the other side, the Redskins defense will have to make plays in order to keep the Panthers offense off the field. I think the Redskins will be able to stop the run but stopping the pass is going to be a challenge. If they can shut down Steve Smith, they will get off the field. I think the Redskins are too depleted in the secondary to stop the Panthers offense. However, the return of Brandon Meriwether at safety could potentially give the secondary a spark.
I like the Redskins this game but I think it'll be closer than people think because both defenses are not very good. Redskins win 34 to 31.
