Jason Whitlock Says Crazy Things About RG3

Jason Whitlock subbed in for Michael Wilbon on Pardon the Interuption, and he had some very interesting opinions about Robert Griffin III.  Either very interesting, or very "trying to make himself part of a news story".

On the second top story of the show (after Johnny Football) Tony & Whitlock discussed RG3 starting game 1.  This causes Whitlock to compare the Redskins QB to people like TO, Ocho Cinco, Tiger Woods and even Kim Kardashian.

It appears Whitlock is just name dropping random big names to create a shock, but here are some of the choice quotes anyways:

Michael Wilbon Says Shut Up to those Anti-Shanahan

PTI opened with a Mike Shanahan zing on Monday afternoon as the guys led the program off with the whole RG3 thing.

Wilbon: "Tony, I've been down and out with the flu the last 4 days, you think I'm OK to play through it?"

TK: "Mike Shanahan certainly thinks so"

Wilbon agreed with Shanahan, mostly because he despises Jay Cutler from coming out of a Bears playoff game in the past.  He reiterated that it was the Playoffs, so you have to keep him in there.  Then he said what everyone is saying today.  RUN THE BALL!

Tony Kornheiser's daughter, wanted the Skins to go with Cousins and if he failed, put RG3 back into the game.  Great story Tony.

Wilbon: "It's a difficult call so the people who are calling for Shanahan's head like he did something irresponsible, SHUT UP!"

Bill Simmons Says Washington Sports Teams Need a Setback

On Friday's episode of PTI, during the Oddmakers game, Tony Kornheiser and sub Bill Simmons were asked to put a percentage on the following scenerio:

Chances RG3 Throws For 300 Yards Against The Rams

Tony Kornheiser: 75%

"These are the Redskins, I am ALL IN!"

Bill Simmons: 20%

"I am predicting a catastrophe of a Washington Sports Weekend, here is why.  Washington it is in your DNA to be miserable and to be complaining about your teams, life is too good right now, you need a quick setback"

"I hope I'm wrong too"

Jaws: Redskins Will Challenge For A Playoff Spot, Best Front 7 In The NFL

Here is some news 1 day late because ESPN 980 is a terrible station that doesn't put the podcasts online in a reasonable amount of time.  I wanted to get the quotes exactly right.

These are a few statements made by Ron Jaworski on the Tony Kornheiser Show from Wednesday morning:
Jaws:  "The Redskins, if they can get throught he first 4 games this season they will challenge for a playoff spot"
Kornheiser: "ARE YOU HIGH! WHAT!"
Jaws said his concern with RG3 is that he didn't get enough work in the preseason.
"I think defensively they are going to be a tremendous defensive team, their front 7 may be as good as any team in football"
Yeah, Jaws may be high...or it may have been Joe Theismann calling in disguise?

You can listen to the segment in the ESPN 980 Audio Vault which is somewhere online...

PTI Files: Bob Griffin

On Wednesday during PTI, during the "What's the Word" game, the following was asked.

It's __________ that Osi Umenyiora calls RG3 "Bob Griffin"?

Kornheiser:  TRASH-O-RAMA
Blackistone:  HONORIFIC

TK said it was fabulous and said while its nice that RG3 has a million commericals, that Osi has Super Bowl Rings.

"RG3, by the way, is a Superstar already without playing a down" -TK sarcastically

"Bob Griffin, you gotta like that" -TK

I love it...
