According to Mike Jones of the Washington Post, the Redskins have re-signed free agent guard Kory Lichtensteiger to a one year contract.
Lichtensteiger started 5 games for the Skins but ended up getting hurt in week 6 tearing his ACL, his MCL, and no I'm not finished yet, his miniscus. He had surgery a few weeks later and he is set to be ready to compete in training camp for the upcoming season.
The Redskins offensive line has been poor and filled with injuries for years. Last year Trent Williams not only got hurt but also was suspended. The Skins spent free agency working on getting wide recievers and defensive backs, missing out on some big free agent linemen like Carl Nicks (signed by Bucs) and Chris Myers (re-signed by Texans).
I'm always up for the Skins picking up more offensive linemen and even if they find someone to outplay Lichtensteiger, Kory will most likely end up on the field at some point in the season.
