Vincent Jackson, Sure Why Not!

The Washington Redskins have risked their future on a quarterback and in theory have a guy that will lead them to 1-10 Super Bowls in the next 10 years.  But who exactly is this guy going to throw to?  Fred "How High" Davis?  Yes, tons.  But you can't ONLY throw to a tight end.  You are going to need some decent receivers as well.

Enter Vincent Jackson...

Jackson is a guy who can get 1,000 yards and 7-10 TDs per season.  That is only slightly much better than Anthony Armstrong, Donte Stallworth, Niles Paul, and whoever that white guy was that is Kyle's friend combined.

Jackson would come in as a solid WR1 option with Fred Davis as a 2nd option.  Then you would have Gaffney as an OK WR2, and Santana in the slot where he belongs with Hankerson hopefully moving into one of these positions by the end of the season.

The key to that whole dynamic is Jackson.  He is clearly the best free agent option available.  However that usually is a bad thing when it comes to the Redskins.  It means that VJ knows the Skins want him, and he can use the Skins to drive up his price.  Eventually, if the Redskins want Vincent Jackson, they will have to overpay, Skins-Syle!

Having a guy like Vince Jackson could help a rookie quarterback in his first season.  If he were to develop a good relationship with RG3, we could have a good connection for the next several years.  Or we could keep running reverse handoffs for 3 yard gains to Donte Stallworth next year.  That would be awesome too...
